In my capacity as a digital designer, I had the privilege to apply my expertise in crafting the branding and web design for bloom & borrow, a venture I co-founded with my friend, Sophie. Rooted in our shared aspiration to empower individuals in curating heartwarming moments, bloom & borrow emerged as a faux floral and decor rental company serving Edmonton, AB, and its surroundings. Designing an e-commerce website that not only showcased our offerings but also facilitated seamless browsing and checkout experiences was paramount to us. My involvement spanned various aspects of the project, from shaping the brand identity and website design to overseeing project management, executing copywriting, creating marketing materials, and conducting product photography. Throughout this intensive process, we delved into market research to glean insights on effective branding and copywriting strategies employed by both local and international counterparts in our industry.

Through workshopping what we envisioned for our brand, we came up with the following personalities based on our values and differentiation in the market:
Brand personality
The overarching brand ethos is to exude positivity and joyfulness. Our color palette features neutrals complemented by accents of greens and gold. Neutral tones were chosen intentionally to allow our vibrant faux florals to stand out in product images. Lush green hues evoke a connection to nature, while touches of gold impart a sense of premium quality. To enhance playfulness and sophistication, we incorporated a serif-sans serif font pairing into our brand toolkit, ensuring consistency across design elements and text.
